Directors
Mission Statement
We are a management team of dedicated leaders. Our mission is to make certain the dentists and staff of Grove City Family Dentistry stay positive, productive, and follow the implementation of all standard operating procedures.
We accomplish our mission by treating doctors and staff with the utmost respect, appreciation, and loyalty.
We pledge to support and develop our patient-oriented staff, and we will motivate and encourage both personal and professional growth. We will provide training and coaching. We will commit ourselves to enhancing the skills of GCFD personnel. We promise to be fair in our decision-making process and have confidence in those we delegate as leaders. We are committed to the success of this practice.
As leaders in this organization, we vow to trust other managers on our team. We will help one another by providing support and guidance on a daily basis.
It is our hope that the dentists and staff will value and trust us to make important decisions. We will always do the best job we can.
As a result, we will manage practice growth and allow the dentists and staff to concentrate their efforts on top quality care, excellent customer service, and working to provide an internal atmosphere of staff and patient gratification and fidelity.
Karen
As our Office Manager, Karen is responsible for staff recruiting and retention, payroll, benefit administration, 401K administration, compensation management, patient satisfaction, accounts payable, strategic planning, and support for our dentists and staff. She joined the GCFD team in 2001 and enjoys observing our staff in delivering excellent patient care. Karen also loves watching our patients reap the rewards of their dental treatment. Karen resides in Galloway with her husband, Don. She has 3 wonderful children, Drew, Ryan and Cassaundra. She enjoys bird watching and antiquing in her spare time.
Jessica
As our Patient Care Director, Jessica provides management and supervision of all front desk and clinical personnel on a daily operations basis. She also focuses on staff scheduling and management of patient flow. As a licensed dental hygienist, she specializes in providing preventive and therapeutic services to patients, typically focusing on techniques in oral hygiene and prevention of disease. Jessica enjoys working with our doctors because they share a common philosophy: the patient is always first. Jessica is a 2007 graduate of The Ohio State University and is completing her Master’s degree in Health Services Administration. She has been happily married for nine years and is the proud mother of two sons, Bryce and Chase.
Julie
Julie has been with Grove City Family Dentistry since 1996, and in the dentistry field for almost 30 years. She is our Marketing and Finance Director. Julie loves to meet new people at the many community events she attends for GCFD. She is proud to work with her talented team of Dentists and Coworkers. Julie is responsible for our social media, such as facebook and twitter. She is also the person you will talk to when asking for a sponsorship, donation or charity contribution. In her free time, Julie loves spending time in the sun, especially where there is a beach. She has an adult son, Christian.
Allen
Allen is our IT and Facilities Director. He brings technology into the practice to help better serve our patients and staff. By doing so, Allen is also helping patients better understand their treatment through visual presentations. Allen loves being able to research, test, and execute technology that helps keep us at the top of our field and gives patients the best possible experience they can have while improving their health and their lives. Allen resides in Grove City with his beautiful wife, Kim and yellow lab, Shiloh. He is a musician who plays guitar, bass, and piano and loves to kayak, go boating, ski, and swim. Allen is bilingual in Croatian.
Hygienists
Mission Statement
The Dental Hygiene Department of Grove City Family Dentistry is dedicated to providing quality, patient-focused dental hygiene care. Our mission is to promote the highest standards of dental hygiene education, licensure, practice, and research. We establish an individualized dental hygiene diagnosis for each patient; this is an integral component of the dental diagnosis determined by the dentist. Exceeding the standard care for our patients is the definition of our purpose and the mission of our department.
To accomplish our mission, we pledge to:
- Continually improve our professional knowledge and skills
- Provide a full measure of quality and compassionate service to each patient entrusted to our care
- Uphold the highest standards of professional competence and personal conduct in the interests of the dental hygiene profession and the public it serves
As a result of these provisions, we trust that our patients will:
- Value the level of treatment and care delivered by our hygiene team
- Appreciate the cost-effective benefits of prevention
- Develop a clear understanding of oral health as it relates to overall health
Our department is dedicated to patient education, team efficiency, and complete excellence.
Kristen
In addition to being an EFDA, Kristen is also one of our Dental Hygienists. She works directly with patients by providing regular cleanings, treatment of periodontal disease, placement of fillings, and home care education. Kristen loves to see her patients every six months so that she can catch up on all the fun and exciting things that have happened in their lives. She lives in Grove City with her husband, Kurt. They have one cat and one dog. When she’s not cleaning teeth, Kristen enjoys jogging, shopping, and hanging out with friends and family.
Donna
Donna is one of our Registered Dental Hygienists. She provides optimal hygiene care for our patients, including preventive procedures, root planing, applying sealants, giving anesthetic, and taking radiographs. Donna began her dental career in 1970 and joined the GCFD team in 2003. Her favorite aspect of her job is providing useful education to patients so they can be active in their dental health. Donna is married with two wonderful sons and one daughter-in-law. She and her husband, Tim, love to ballroom dance on the weekends. Crafts, knitting, and gardening also keep her busy.
Julie
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, Julie provides therapeutic care to help patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. She loves developing relationships with patients and making such a positive difference in their lives. Julie enjoys furthering her education and takes advantage of the many learning opportunities our doctors provide. In her free time, Julie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Mike, and two sons, Jordan and Austin. They are avid Buckeye fans!

Donna S.
Donna joined our hygiene team in 2012. She has been a dental hygienist for over 30 years, receiving her degree from "that school up north". She enjoys providing therapeutic care and education to patients so that together, they can experience improvement and optimal oral health. Donna has enjoyed learning and using the wonderful technology that GCFD uses to provide dental services for our patients. Donna is married and has 2 children, Alex and Leanne. In her free time, she enjoys making jewelry and cheering on the Wolverines!
Michele
Michele joined our Hygiene team in 2005 and has almost 20 years of experience in providing dental care and life-long beautiful smiles to patients. She emphasizes the importance of great oral health with the thorough education she gives to each patient she meets. Michele lives in Chillicothe with her husband, Brent, and two daughters, Abby and Ally. They spend most of their free time outdoors, camping, swimming, and riding golf carts and four-wheelers.

Sara
Sara performs all aspects of dental hygiene including cleanings, root planing, and taking radiographs. She enjoys the interactions she has with her patients. It means a lot to Sara if she can do one small thing for each of our patients to help them feel better about themselves. Her goal is to inform her patients of the importance of good oral health and the connection it can have on their overall health. Sara lives on a family farm in Madison County with her wonderful husband, son, and three dogs. Whether it's being outdoors during the summer and fall months, camping, riding four-wheelers, or playing sports, Sara enjoys spending as much time with her family as possible.
Heather
Heather has been with our office since 2007 and in the dental field since 1998. As a registered Dental Hygienist, she provides therapeutic care to help patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. Heather enjoys working with our patients and providing a valuable health care service for them, while establishing a trusting relationship. Heather's husband is Nick. She has a son Dennis and a stepdaughter named Karli. Heather and her husband are expecting another child soon. She enjoys watching her kids play sports, vacationing on the beach, and reading a good book. They are also a family of Buckeye Fans!
Expanded Functions Dental Assistants and Dental Assistants
Mission Statement
As the Dental Assistants and Expanded Functions Department, it is our mission to provide the most complete and comprehensive care possible in an environment in which our patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and safe. We are a highly trained and experienced group of individuals who take pride in our work and guarantee quality in every aspect of our job. Our patients will have complete confidence and satisfaction in our abilities to treat as well as educate them about their oral health.
To enable us to guarantee our mission with certainty, we will:
- Strictly adhere to the requirements to maintain licensure
- Participate in an extensive variety of continuing education
- Support and be skilled in reputable and advanced technology
- Serve as a trusted liaison for our doctors and scheduling coordinators
- Use the highest quality of materials available for the needs of our procedures
- Treat every patient and their family as we would treat our most important patient
In doing these things, we will function with the professionalism, compassion, integrity, and expertise that reflects Grove City Family Dentistry in its entirety.
Amy G.
Amy began her dental career in 1995 and joined our team in 2011. As an EFDA, she enjoys helping patients who have a fear of dentistry become more comfortable during their appointments while also educating them on the importance of preventive care and maintenance. Amy and her husband, Scott, have two children, Carter and Caroline. She enjoys watching her son play baseball, working in the yard, and exercising. She also enjoys volunteering as an EMT in her township.
Mandy
As one of our EFDAs, Mandy can be found assisting our doctors by placing preventive and restorative materials, such as sealants and fillings. She wants each patient she meets to feel comfortable and at ease during their dental appointments. Mandy appreciates the compassion of our doctors and enjoys working in an amazing office that has the highest quality products and the most up-to-date technology. Mandy has a very supportive husband, Christopher, along with an amazing daughter, Madeline. They enjoy doing things together, like swimming, baking, and running.
Tracee
Tracee, as one of our EFDAs, is certified to place fillings, sealants, and perform all other assistant duties. She loves the artistic side of dentistry as well as the reward of making someone happy by enhancing their smile or relieving their pain. Tracee enjoys the family atmosphere of our office and the passion our doctors show towards dentistry. Tracee has a wonderful husband of 17 years and two beautiful kids, Kyle and Kira. After work is finished for the day, she enjoys watching her kids play hockey and has been known to gear up and hit the ice with her women’s league out of Newark.

Michelle
Michelle is a part of our EFDA team, so she places restorations and provides preventive care. She joined our office in 2005 and has almost 20 years of experience in the dental field. It is Michelle’s goal to make each patient feel like a friend, especially if a patient is fearful of the dentist. Michelle lives in Worthington with her husband, Rodriquez. She has three kids, Ezra, Nya, and Torrey. She loves watching her kids play sports and travels all over with her daughter who plays soccer.
Nicole
Nicole recently received her EFDA license from The Ohio State University and is Dr. Oiler’s team. She works with Dr. Oiler during all restorative procedures and educates patients about their dental needs. The relationships she has created with her patients and our amazing dentists and great team is her favorite part of her job. Nicole and her husband have an Australian Shepherd named Samoa. In their free time they love to exercise and spend time with friends and family.

Amanda
Amanda is one of our Invisalign CoOrdinators. She also works in our sterilization area where she cleans and processes instruments, cleans and organizes supplies, and assists the EFDAs and hygienists. Amanda loves working with our patients and staff members who all make this office a really fun place. Outside the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and she stays active by playing volleyball, basketball, and softball.
Mandi
Mandi works in our sterilization area. Where she uses the highest standards of maintaining and cleaning our instruments. Mandi respects the quality of care our doctors provide and the fun, silly side of the GCFD team. Mandi is married and has three handsome little boys. They love doing outdoor activities, such as camping, fishing, playing sports, and riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes.

Sacha S.
Sacha has been in the dental field since 1998. She was a dental assistant and worked with Dr. Zimmerman from 2001-2007 . In 2006 she graduated from the EFDA program at The Ohio State University. She has recently returned working as an EFDA for Dr. Niemic. While Sacha was away, she received her Licensed Massage Therapy degree. When she is not working she enjoys the outdoors and loves being active by swimming, running and working out.

Shelley W.
Administrative Team

- We helped our patients to fully understand their dental insurance, financial obligations, and their dental treatment

Becky
Becky is responsible for scheduling all patient appointments for Dr. Mitchell as well as answering the phones, checking insurance, and explaining payment options. She enjoys getting to know our patients and making them feel comfortable at all times. Becky values the dedication of our dentists and the supportive, family-oriented team she works with. In her free time, Becky loves spending time with her fiancé, Eric, and going back to visit her mom and family. She enjoys taking road trips, cooking out in the summer, and spending time with friends.
Tina
Tina is Dr. Oiler’s Scheduling Coordinator, so she greets patients on the phone, takes care of them after their appointment, and makes sure they are scheduled for their next appointment. She has worked in the dental field for almost 30 years, joining our team in 2007. In that time, Tina has seen many patients leave our office with healthy, happy smiles. Tina is married to her high school sweetheart, Marc. They enjoy spending time together and playing with their golden retriever, Bella. They also love traveling, watching movies, and going out to dinner together.
Katie
Katie is our Hygiene Coordinator, so she schedules hygiene appointments, goes over treatment plans with patients, verifies their insurance benefits, and generally makes sure our patients are well taken care of. She loves to meet new people and see how dentistry can change lives in such a positive way. Katie has a cat named Gizzy and a dog, Bella. She has been riding horses for 20 years and competed competitively in barrel racing.
Barb
Barb is our Insurance Coordinator and helps patients with all aspects of their insurance needs. She is their advocate to the insurance companies, so she submits all claims on behalf of our patients. Barb enjoys being in a position to assist patients in making their dental care as hassle-free as possible. Barb is married with two cats, two children, and six grandchildren. She loves God, her family, friends, and relaxing in the yard or at the pool.

Stacey J.
Stacey is Dr. Zimmerman’s treatment coordinator. She loves helping patients with their dental and financial needs. Her favorite part of working with Dr. Zimmerman is being about to talk with patients about Invisalign, and helping them to be able to achieve a perfect and healthy smile. Stacey is appreciative of working for a practice that care about their employees, patients and their community the way GCFD does. She loves to take rides on a Harley, go to movies, relax on a beach and spend time with her 5 grandchildren.

Jenni W.
Jenni is one of our friendly Dental Receptionist, you will see as soon as you walk in our front door. She is responsible for making sure we have all the needed information to ensure the patient has as smooth as a visit they can from the clinical part of Dentistry to the billing. She enjoys getting to know our patients and is always willing to help them if they have any questions. Jenni appreciates seeing the Dentists so dedicated to Dentistry and our patients. She is married to Scott, has 2 children, Campton and Maci. During her free time, Jenni enjoys volunteering, planning family outings, traveling and music.

Lauren B.
Lauren is our full time receptionist who enjoys being the first face our patients see when they come into our office. Her goal is to greet patients with a friendly smile and make them feel at home and welcome from the beginning to the end when she says goodbye. After work, Lauren enjoys signing, spending time with her husband Cole, and her Siamese cat, Leo. Lauren is a worship leader at her church and is heavily involved in the young adults and ladies group at her church.
